Incoming U. S. Diplomat, Said Bilani, Featured by U. S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

Said plans on entering the Foreign Service as a U. S. diplomat upon completion of his second Master’s degree at Georgetown University.

In the March 12th Edition of the INspire Weekly newsletter, Said Bilani, was featured by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Regional, Global, and Functional Affairs, in the Department of State's Bureau of Legislative Affairs, Daniel Stoian, for his recent appointment within the Department of State as a Thomas R. Pickering Fellow. In the newsletter, published by the Deputy Secretary of State, Mr. Bilani was spotlighted and congratulated for the successful launch of his new non-profit, The Institute for Middle East Peace & Progress, which seeks to empower the next generation of leaders in Lebanon through educational, developmental, and humanitarian programs.

SPOTLIGHT: SAID BILANI

Congratulations to Said Bilani on the launch of his new non-profit!

Said currently lives in Washington D.C. and is pursuing a Master’s degree at Harvard University in International Education Policy. Since obtaining his Bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University in International Affairs, Said can boast of a wealth of professional experience. Said founded and leads the Institute for Middle East Peace and Progress, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower the next generation of leaders in Lebanon through educational, developmental, and humanitarian programs. Said has also served as a White House intern and was recently awarded a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship from the U.S. Department of State.

Said plans on entering the Foreign Service as a U.S. diplomat upon completion of his second Master’s degree at Georgetown University. On a personal level, Said is passionate about traveling and the liberating feeling it brings.
